Joint Venture Food Park at Sirhind Punjab Agri Food Parks Limited and Punjab Agro Ventures Limited is a joint initiative of an NRI group and Punjab Agro Industries Corporation. Spread over a 25 acres complex on GT Road at Sirhind, PAFPL has created 1,00,000 sq.ft. of cold chain and clean- zone- handling complex for horticultural produce. This is supported with nursery facilities, a world class food testing lab and a grading and packaging house. Along with this infrastructure, PAFPL has set up a model farm and raises seedlings to be provided to its farmers. |

PAFPL has set up india's largest and most sophisticated integrated vegetable and fruit processing complex with capabilities for freezing vegetables and food products using IQF, spiral and blast freezers depending upon the technological requirements. The facility also has thermal stabilization facilities using equipment from France, Holland and Italy.The facility is supported with a 5000 MT frozen storage facility and 5000MT cold storage facility. This project will result in employment generation as well as promotion of organic farming in the region. |
